Sakura Cello Quintet

Hailed as “brilliant” and “superb” by Mark Swed of the Los Angeles Times, the Sakura Cello Quintet is a unique ensemble dedicated to revealing the warmth, color, and expressive range of five cellos.

Through inventive arrangements, new commissions, and repertoire spanning eight centuries, SAKURA offers fresh perspectives on great music past and present. Highlights include the premiere of the world’s first concerto for five cellos and orchestra, national performances, major commissioning grants, and a residency with the Da Camera Society.
