Magic Strings
Founded in 1995, Magic Strings has built a reputation as a unique, dynamic, and accomplished group of musicians performing on Eastern European traditional instruments. These include the domra, a stringed instrument with a thin, fretted neck and round body; the balalaika, a three-stringed triangular instrument; and the bayan, a member of the accordion family. The repertoire ranges from traditional Ukrainian songs to well-known classics and original compositions. This concert includes a virtuosic singer and two dancers that will add variety to an already amazing program.
